FONTSHOW ---- Distribution Diskette Notes
===============================================================
Note: Setup has been modified to run from any drive and or
directory. It must be RUN UNDER WINDOWS.
Note: To users of older versions of FontShow, it is suggested
you delete all *.vbx files distributed with the older version
before you install this version.
WARNING: These VBX files MAY be used by other Visual Basic
programs. It is STRONGLY suggested you back them up before
you delete them.
You should not attempt to copy the files manually, as they are
stored in compressed form on the distribution diskette.
Note: Setup uses the MUSCLE.VB_ file on the distribution diskette
and it also installs it in the target directory as MUSCLE.VBX.
==> It is suggested you restart Windows after installing FontShow.

To Install FontShow from this installation diskette, place it
in a drive, and use the program manager run command to run:
d:\SETUP where "d" is the drive where this diskette is located.
(or specify the pathname of where your setup and other files
are located. If FontShow was distributed on more than one
diskette, it must be installed from your HardDrive or a larger
high density diskette. All install files MUST reside in the same
directory)
Setup will analyze your system and enable options depending on
your current setup. It is not advisable to alter the settings
once setup has started, unless you wish to re-install portions
of FontShow at a later time. Disabling certain install options
may result in improper operation of FontShow. To Complete the
installation, click on OK.
During the copy process, if Setup detects duplicate files in the
target directories, they will be examined and if found to be the
same size and date, or if they are newer, the files will not be
overwritten. This is only of concern if you have installed
FontShow previously. Should it be necessary, you can enable the
"Replace duplicate files in target Directory" Option, and setup
will overwrite all duplicate files in the target directories, with
the files on the setup diskette. This should only be necessary, if
FontShow fails to function properly. The checking is primarily
performed to prevent overwriting newer versions of the VBX files,
that you might have installed with other Visual Basic applications.
Once the setup process is complete, use the program manager
File/New command to add FontShow to the program manager group
of your choice. (Or follow the instructions for adding FontShow
to your shell, if you are not using the Windows program
manager)
For additional configuration notes and performance information
refer to the FONTSHOW.TXT file which is installed in the
FontShow directory specified during installation.
There are two differences in this distribution to be noted:
1) VBRUN200.DLL is included (diskette distribution only);
2) This setup program will install for you, except for adding
the icon to program manager. The installation steps in
FONTSHOW.TXT are for reference purposes only.
Setup Problems:
---------------
The Setup program is new. Should you encounter difficulties,
the files on the distribution diskette may be extracted using
the EXPAND utility supplied with windows. See FSFILES.TXT for
the appropriate names and locations of the supplied files.
Removal Information:
--------------------
FontShow setup logs all files copied during all setup runs to
file: FSFILES.LOG in the FONTSHOW directory. If you wish to
remove FontShow, refer to this file. Please note that VBX
and the DLL files may be used by other applications, so
exersise caution when deleting these files.
